28 October 2020 - Four members of a Kurdish-Iranian family died in the Channel when a boat they were travelling in sank - and their 15-month-old boy remains missing.
Rasoul Iran-Nejad, 35, Shiva Mohammad Panahi, 35, Anita, nine, and Armin, six, were crossing from France to the UK on Tuesday, CBN has established.
Their baby, Artin, has yet to be found.
Fifteen other migrants were taken to hospital and an investigation into the sinking has been opened in Dunkirk by the French public prosecutor.
The family were from the city of Sardasht in western Iran, near to the border with Iraq, CBN international affairs correspondent Bridget Roberts said.
