21 June 2019 - Lingate, SK - A home was damaged by a natural landslip caused by overnight heavy rains in Lingate, Sakaino. No other structures were damaged in the area and the home owners were not injured.
Natural Landslips are caused by disturbances in the natural stability of a slope. They can accompany heavy rains or follow droughts, earthquakes, or volcanic eruptions.
Officials on the scene told us that a construction crew would be out this week to repair the damage to the home that was caused by the landslip.
Federal officials with Boshka Federal Emergency Management (BFEM) said the repairs will be made at coast to the home owners since this incident was part of a natural disaster.
