Immigration Crisis

25 July 2018 - Capital City, Carnswell With the new site making it easier for individuals to apply for citizenship, thousands of entries have been flooding the Citizenship and Immigration Boshka (CIB) offices, but only a select few have been accepted. The reason being, in order to combat all the entries from individuals from countries where crime rates and scams are high, some entries are not sent with good intentions. Officer Alec Nikolin tells us that "most applications they see are from citizens of Nigeria trying to gain Boshka citizenship in the hopes of receiving a Social Security card for use in their home country to some how scam their government or other individuals." Many of the applicants have no intention of ever coming to Boshka.

In order to deal with the mass number of applications flooding the offices, applicants must now take a Citizenship Exam and score a 95% or higher in order to pass. Our very own Emily Turov took the exam. "It is passable. But only true individuals seeking citizenship will know the answers. You have to study before hand. Most answers are on the website and one answer is given to you right off the bat." Although, discussing the contents or sharing the exam is illegal, we can say that she passed with a 100%.
