New Secretary of State Sworn-In

24 June 2019 - Capital City, CW - President Bannister sworn-in Kaidence Avery today, as the nations first female Secretary of State. Secretary Avery's first day on the job will officially begin 25 June 2019. The Senate confirmation hearing took place last Friday and Secretary Avery was confirmed with an almost unanimous vote for approval. The Senators who didn't approve were absent during the vote. Nominee's need a majority vote for approval.

Avery has been a Boshkan citizen since 2014 and has worked in the State Department for over three years. When Avery first moved to Boshka from Colorado, USA, she attended Carnswell University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in political science back in May 2018. She is currently pursuing her masters degree.
