It's always been Milo and it should stay as Milo." said Kristina Kasivacks of Milo. Senator Philip Francolin of Milo is sponsoring the bill. Bill C-155 went up for debate, but no voting took place. The debating lasted longer than the normal 1 hour it usually takes. "A lot of emotions ran high today. Many have a strong connection to the name." Senator Francolin told reporters outside the House of Commons. "We will pick it up again tomorrow and hopefully we will be able to make a decision for the people." he said. Senator Bill Patterson, Senator Francolin's collegue, had this to say to reporters as he exited the House of Commons on Monday evening, "The name change must happen. We don't want controversy that Mr. Yiannopoulos has caused." Click here to read the story on how the name "Milo" has become much more than just a name of a province.
