3 September 2018 - Capital City, Carnswell - Today, all three judges of the Boshka Supreme Court, voted in favor of the hospital. To keep Franklin Fialkowski, age 37 of Central City, Calhan alive. For now. The hospital says that Fialkowski has a 45% chance of pulling through the coma. Back in 2017, Franklin was cleaning his gutters, when he lost his balance and fell about 50 feet, hitting his head on the concrete below, leaving him in a coma ever since. 45% is the hospitals minimum to keep someone on life support. Franklin's wife feels that it is pointless to keep her husband on live support.
Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexandria Sykora gave this comment before voting. "It is not fair for someone to decide the faith of another human being, especially when it comes to deciding weather or not this person should live or die, when they have done nothing to deserve to die. Who are we to take someone else's life in our own hands."
For now, Franklin will live to see another day. If his survival rate drops below the 45% range, then the "end-of-life" option will be available for his wife to choose. The doctor assigned to Franklin will make that analysis. We will keep you updated here on Franklin's condition.
